Privacy, Straight Up

What I collect

My server keeps standard logs: IP address, browser type, the page you hit, and the time you hit it. That is housekeeping; it tells me what is breaking and what people actually read. Comment fields store what you type in them, including the name and any address you choose to leave; if you would rather stay anonymous, leave those fields empty. I run analytics to see which reviews and guides pull weight, and it records page views and rough location, never your name.

What I do not collect

No account required, no newsletter signup forced on you, no tracking pixels following you around the internet. I do not build profiles on readers, and I do not ask for anything I do not need; if a page loads, that is the whole transaction.

Cookies

Strictly the functional kind, plus whatever the analytics tool drops to count a visit. They keep things working and tell me whether a page lands; nothing more creative than that. Clear them any time in your browser settings; the site will keep running.

Who gets your data

Nobody buys it. I do not sell, rent, or trade reader data to anyone, full stop, and I do not hand it to advertisers or data brokers. The people who host the server and run the analytics see the log-level stuff as part of keeping the lights on; that is the limit.

Getting your data removed

If you left a comment and want it gone, or you want your server logs purged, tell me which page and roughly when, and I will handle it. No forms to fill, no hoops. Head to the contact page on this site and write to me there; that is the fastest route and the only one I check.

Where to write

The contact page is the door. Use it for removal requests, privacy questions, or anything else that needs a human reply. I read everything myself.
